To make scamorza cheese at home, you will need a food processor. But before we get started, let us first talk about what kind of cheese you should be looking for.
You can only find scamorza cheese in Italian grocery stores. That means you won’t find it in regular supermarkets.
However, if you do happen to see it in the supermarket, you may have trouble finding it. They usually sell it by the pound. And it costs more than most cheeses.
So instead of buying scamorza cheese by the pound, look for it in bulk. You should be able to find it in the dairy section of your local grocery store.
Once you’ve bought some scamorza cheese, you’ll need to follow these steps to make it yourself.
Step One: Peel the rind from the cheese.
This step isn’t really necessary. But it does help keep the cheese fresher longer. So if you plan on storing it for a while, peel the rind off.
Step Two: Cut the cheese into cubes.
Cut the cheese into cubes so they fit better inside the food processor.
Step Three: Process the cheese.
